Munchkin: Munchkin campers will be transported to camp on the regular full day program bus routes. Parents will then have the option of either picking up their Munchkin's at 1 p.m. here at camp or extending the camp day until 3:15. Munchkins extending until 3:15 will be transported back home on the regular full day bus to which they are assigned.

By offering parents the option of extending the day for their Munchkin, the days of having to schedule your day around 2 bus routes will be over. Your Munchkin will be on the same route with their older siblings! To accommodate the Munchkins on the full day bus routes, we will have them assigned to seating in the front 2 or 3 rows of each bus. As with all of our bus routes, we will have 2-3 counselors assigned to each route leading games and songs and insuring the safety of all of our campers.

If you are more comfortable picking up your Munchkin camper, we will have a car line here at camp where you will be able to conveniently pick up your camper at 1 p.m.

For Munchkins choosing to extend their day, there will be a variety of exciting scheduled programs to keep them engaged right up to the end of the day. There will be an additional recreational swim each afternoon, low organized field games and sports, arts and crafts, story time and more.

Full day: For 5 to 7 year olds. This program includes swimming twice per day (instructional, recreational and lifesaving), softball, T-ball, soccer, basketball, floor hockey, football, volleyball, tennis, performing arts (music, dance and drama), arts & crafts, ceramics, nature, challenge activities, special days every week and lots more.

Super 8: For 8 year old boys & girls entering 3rd grade next fall.

Program Plus: For 9, 10, & 11 year old boys & girls entering 4th, 5th and 6th grade next fall.

Super 8 and Program Plus allow older campers to concentrate more on expanding their skills, with the opportunity to participate in sleepovers and overnight trips, plus other activities from the full-day program. We also offer an optional horseback riding and golf programs for Super 8 and Program Plus campers.

Super 8 features bi-weekly and Program Plus weekly outings to water parks, bowling, and other interesting trips. We do not take trips to Chicago or Great America where we would be concerned with big crowds, the children’s safety and long rides.

The Trailblazers Are Here! Don't put your camp tee-shirts on the shelf just yet! By popular demand, Tamarak has added a coed teen group to it's summer programming. Campers who have completed the 6th and 7th grades can now continue their summers at Tamarak with four 2-week sessions of new activities and excursions: all with that Tamarak spirit.

For 2 weeks, campers will split their days between in-camp activities, specialty exploration, and various outings. We have included a spectrum of choice, leadership and teamwork to give each camper a well-rounded experience for them. Term 4 will be Trailblazers on the Move! with an extended two-night, three-day trip to Beber Camp in WI
