Directors Lucia and Dave Thoensen are responsible for directing all aspects of camp. They are also certified camp directors with the American Camping Association.

Lucia has her B.A. from the University of Iowa in Elementary Education and her Master’s degree in Administration/Supervision from National-Louis University. Lucia has been a fourth grade teacher in Lincolnshire School District 103 and a core instructor in the Master of Education program at National-Louis University. Lucia is also the director of Tamarak Country School.

Dave has his B.A. from the University of Iowa and his Master’s in Management from National-Louis University. He has extensive experience in staff training and development, and considerable volunteer experience working with children. Dave also serves on the board of directors for the Illinois Section of the American Camping Association.
